2013 - 2014 | Carbon Art Cultural Centre | Zabrze
during employment at Konior Studio
The Carbon Art cultural centre was designed to be built in the city centre of Zabrze, one of many post-industrial upper-silesian cities in Poland, continuing the process of its urban tissue revitalization.
The building consists of three independent institutions: concert hall with 300 seats, public library, city museum with administrative offices and underground car park. It's compact form and brick facade refers to the context of Zabrze's brick architecture from the early 20th century.
